Divine Principle - Chapter 1

Principle of Creation, Part 1

The Nature of God and His Creation

This presentation explains the reality of God's existence and his nature. We discover that, although, God is invisible, he has been expressing himself in a very dynamic way; through the things that he has made. As we shed new light on the nature of God, our proper response to God becomes even more clear. God loves us with all his heart and our response to him is to be the response of love. Play video

The Fall of Man, Part 1

Symbolic or Literal, the Meaning of the Fruit

The Fall of Man tutorial explores the symbols and archetypes rendered in the Genesis story of Adam and Eve. The objective is to decipher their meaning in a way that sheds light on problems with which we struggle to this day. The first presentation reveals that there is greater meaning to the eating of the “forbidden fruit” then the mere consumption of produce. Indeed, Jesus affirms as much when he asserts that “its not that which goes into the mouth that defiles a man, it is that which comes out.” Play video

Divine Principle - Chapter 3

Principle of Restoration Through Indemnity I

The Midway Position

Humanity finds itself in the midway position between God and satan. Both God and satan are striving to establish exclusive sovereignty over each individual. God wants to recover us, but we must participate in an important role. Our portion of responsibility is to make the “good condition” of receiving the Word of God, have faith in it and put it into practice. When we make this good condition, we come to God’s side. When we make “bad conditions,” that is, conditions of sin, we come to satan’s side. Play video

Divine Principle - Chapter 4

History from Moses to Jesus I

Israel Becomes a Nation

After Jacob’s victory, he is given a new name: Israel. The man Israel had established the foundation for the messiah and thus, Jesus will be born in the “House of Israel.” However, though the foundation for the messiah was accomplished by Jacob, the messiah does not appear until 2000 years later. Instead, God sends Moses to lead the tribes of Israel toward the ideal of building a nation. Now the nation of Israel, the Israelites will move toward blessing or curse contingent on their adherence to the laws, decrees and commandments of God. Play video

Divine Principle - Chapter 5

Resurrection I

Meaning of Life and Death

The word “resurrection” is one that conjures up images of opened tombs and emerging bodies in various states of decomposition. However, in this first tutorial on the subject, we discover there is more to the story. When Jesus said, “Let the dead bury the dead,” he revealed two types of life and death. Thus, in order to understand the phenomenon of coming from death into life, it would behoove us to know from which death we are to depart and into which life we are to arrive. Play video

Historical Parallels I

Why does History Repeat?

Many historians have rightly observed the phenomenon of reoccurring or paralleling periods in history. Although observed by many, it is understood by few. The question remains: why does history repeat? What is the deepest meaning of the phenomenon of reoccurring events in history. Ultimately it is the manifestation of God pursuing his destiny while enticing humanity to play a much needed role. Play video

Divine Principle - Chapter 7

The Second Coming of Christ I

When and How does Christ Come

This tutorial builds on the foundation of the closing assertion of the Historical Parallel presentations: We live in the era of the Second Coming of Christ. Many believers anticipate the return of Christ in a celestial manner riding atop the billowy clouds of the sky. Jesus himself gives us pause by asserting that in his first coming he “came down from Heaven” yet we know he was born on the earth. Could, then, the expectation for a skyward return of Christ be in need of amending? Play video
